Nelson Cruz, P.A. is the founder of MVP Home Group at Real Broker LLC, a Winter Garden, Florida real estate team serving West Orange, South Lake, and the greater Orlando area. MVP Home Group was born from prayer. Mission. Vision. Purpose. was not a tagline someone wrote for Nelson Cruz. It was entrusted to him, and he and his wife Madeline built the company around it.

Nelson spent 18 years in law enforcement. A survivor of four heart attacks and a quadruple bypass, he is alive because first responders reached him in time, more than once. He was one of them, and they came back for him. Serving that community is not a market segment he picked. It is how he honors the people who showed up when it counted.

Since 2006 he has been a member of the Fraternal Order of Police, serving on the executive board of both his local lodge and the State of Florida. Today he is the professional Business Agent negotiating pay, pensions, and benefits for hundreds of law enforcement families. When the outcome is someone’s livelihood, preparation is not optional. Nelson began his real estate career after retiring from law enforcement and has been personally responsible for over $50 million in personal production since going full-time in October 2021. The team he and Madeline lead has passed 300 sales with a 5.0 Zillow rating, working from $135,000 to $6 million across Winter Garden, Windermere, Clermont, Minneola, Groveland, Ocoee, Horizon West, and the greater Orlando area under Real Broker LLC. In 2025 MVP Home Group closed 114 transactions and $50.93 million, ranking 53rd in Florida and among the top 500 teams in the nation in the RealTrends Verified 2026 rankings. Nelson holds Elite Agent status at Real Broker, the team is recognized among Real Broker’s Top 50 Large Teams, and FastExpert named him a Five Star Agent and a 2026 Top Agent for Winter Garden, Clermont, and Groveland.

Nelson and Madeline have been married over 30 years and have three children: Shaina, Nicholas, and Gianna. The family moved to Central Florida from New York City more than two decades ago.
